Once Upon a Time… I created a Twitter account because I was taking a course that required I make one. Ironically, I looked at the tweets of my favorite artists and organizations on Twitter but never thought about creating an account for myself….so when I was told I had to create one, I did and immediately began following those same pages. One company I was eager to follow was Wendy’s and no, it’s not because of their burgers but because of the presence they possess on multiple social networks.
So I thought, why not just do them a favour and conduct a Social Media Audit on their behalf… no big deal
Their target demographic is intended to be families, as majority of their advertisements are facing them. However, they’ve been producing content that resonates with the generation of today. This totally makes sense because out of everyone on social media, who’s on it the most? MILLENIALS and GEN Z’ers. In an effort to keep these two groups attracted to their products, Wendy’s connected with them on a level that’s created waves across the internet. Here’s an example:

It’s content like this that attracts a whole new generation to check out your social media page and, in turn, to walk into your store. Wendy’s has one of the highest follower counts of all the fast-food corporations on Twitter. With a whopping 3.4M followers, you know that they’re on to something.
But one of the most important things for a company, that is trying to utilize social media platforms to increase their brand, is to engage with their audience. They do just that! If you head over to their Facebook page, you can see them engaging frequently with their followers.

Engagement with your audience, especially with witty responses, makes the interaction more memorable and gives the commenter a sense of pride, since a huge corporation responded to their voice. Plus, their Facebook page has more likes than their Twitter. With a massive 8.4 Million likes and follows, they really do Social Media management properly.
Well, till next time. This is Amir, signing off
The End…
